Hello,

I’m so glad you stopped by our website to learn more about Joy Christian Center Church.  As it states above, my name is Johny, and I’m the senior pastor here at JCC.  Standing next to me in our picture is my beautiful wife, Sonia, and between us is, as you probably guessed, our precious daughter. As you can see, we love to be outdoors enjoying God's beautiful creation. This picture was taken in March 2022 after a morning of outreach at a local park in El Monte, where we shared both coffee and the love of God with our El Monte neighbors. 

The three of us are so blessed to be a part of the family here at Joy, and we cannot thank God enough that we get to serve alongside this loving family of Jesus followers.  In case you were wanting to know a bit more about me as the pastor of JCC before coming to visit us, I’ll quickly offer a couple key points about myself.

I am a native of Southern California, having grown up only about forty minutes West of El Monte.  My education is in Theology and Ministry and in Marital and Family Therapy.    Since beginning my walk with God in 2000, I have been involved in a variety of ministry roles, including worship ministry, youth ministry, outreach & evangelism ministry, and pastoral ministry.  

I am obviously biased, but I have to say that Joy Christian Center is a wonderful family to be a part of.  The love and commitment between one another is a beautiful expression of God's love.  If you are looking for a church home to worship in and serve with, we would love for you to be a part of the JCC family!  As you join us, I look forward to getting to know you, and I would be happy to offer more of my story, as well, if you are interested.
